Homelessness and…

Short video about homeless people living in the Roundabout Hostel in Sheffield.

The Roundabout provide shelter for homeless teenagers 16-18 years old, those really in need. The youngsters stay up to 6 weeks, while people at the Hostel try to provide them with an apartment to manage on their own.

What is the key?

But simply being noticed or waited for even something as small as a smile, can make you feel more accepted. A place or person with whom you feel more confortable can heal that pain and make you feel more human”

We are all different. But all the same.

This video is showing the very essence of social exclusion, and the subgroups which belong to it. Another feature of the video is how it identifies the groups which face the exclusion from the society. This video was made to make people realize what is in front of their eyes, and help them decide what to do about it. The reason for only showing the sub groups of social exclusion is to portray other side of the society, which usually are targets of discrimination. Many take the concept of social inclusion for granted and disregard to the opposite side of it, and therefore are supporting the discrimination of these groups.
This video handles topics which seem to be a “tabu” in our society, and never get the recognition they have a right to.

Rainbow Inclusion

Our Film is about social inclusion. We decided to deal with the problem of finnish homosexual community. The main question is: are they included or excluded of finnish society? To find answer for this question we interviewed members from one of the biggest organisations which defends different sexual orientations (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transsexual, Intersexual) and rights. Also we asked people on the street to present their own point of view about this issue.

Skating in Helsinki

Youngster’s in Helsinki love to skateboard, there is a lot of oportunities for them. This documentary shows were they skate, and what it means to be a skater.

But what is the opinion of the society about skating? Do skaters have problems in Helsinki? This movie tried to answer these questions.

Lunch on the bench

Sharing is caring but sharing is also an important part of social inclusion in societies of today. Different cultures mixing and merging together to creativeness and collectively good for everyone. Different pieces of the puzzle of society makes the whole picture.
